Pingwood 2

Tawd Vale 2

VALE took the lead after 11 minutes through L Morris but Pingwood hit back two minutes later through C Williams.

The second-half saw Pingwood edge control and in the 70th minute they took the lead through M McDonough.

Vale kept on battling and nicked a point right at the end when C Brown of Pingwood turned the ball into his own net. Man of the match was Pingwood’s ever-consistent Gary Ryder.

Athletico Edge Hill 1

Redstar 0

BOTH teams played some great attacking football with chances coming at both ends without a significant breakthrough.

The second-half was just as entertaining although there was only the single goal to show for it, and it came in the 66th minute when P Mahaffy converted in fine style. Man of the match was shared by Ben Appleton of Edge Hill and Redstar’s M Sykes-Wright.

Centre Pocket 2

Molyneux 5

MOLYNEUX scored four goals in the first-half.

KBrown opened the scoring after three minutes and added a second on 11 minutes, with Toby Pullen netting for Pocket after 16 minutes.

R Marr restored the two-goal advantage after 19 minutes with Pullen again finding the net for Pocket in the 23rd minute.

Marr made it 4-2 at half-time and R Morgan finished the game with the fifth goal in the 85th minute.

Busy Bee 3

Polo 12

THIS match was over after the opening 10 minutes as Paul Moores (4), Steve Edwards (8) and Moores (10) put Polo 3-0 up.

Mark Pye added a fourth after 28 minutes and Polo cruised into the break. Polo continued in the same dominant vein in the second-half with D.Maguire (52) and Martin Devares (53) making it 6-0 before Adam Leadbetter pulled a goal back for Busy Bee from the penalty spot.

Steve Edwards added another three for Polo on 61, 65 and 75 minutes with D Stoddern replying for Busy.

Paul Moores scored another on 76 minutes with Edwards scoring his fifth of the game after 83. M Tilly grabbed another consolation for Busy after 88 minutes, but Paul Moores rounded off the game with his hat-trick.

Digmoor 7

Field Lane 1

DIGMOOR took the lead after three minutes through John Stalker only for Field Lane to equalise after 17 minutes through David Griffith.

The second-half saw Digmoor assert their authority with defender Lee Thomson making it 2-1 after 50 minutes and Steve Tomaselli adding a third after 57.

Shaun Johnson made it 4-1 on the hour and Digmoor’s other veteran Paul Rooney added two in the 75th and 78th minutes. The final goal came from the unexpected source of Steve Kelly in the 85th minute.

Hare & Hounds 7

Shevington Park 1

Gary Pine opening the scoring after 60 seconds before John Anderson added two after 15 and 31 minutes, either side of J. Stuart finding the net for Shevvy.

Craig Stannard added a fourth after 34 minutes with Adam Hallam making it 5-1 just before half-time.

The second-half was much quieter as Hare & Hounds took their foot off the pedal with just two more goals through Adam Hallam (74) and John Anderson (89).
